Splash and Dash Fun Run/Walk

The Pecan Festival is proud to hold its second annual Splash and Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk that will take place Saturday, June 16. Early registration ends on Thursday May 10 at the cost of $15, while registration after May 10 will be $20.

T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register early, so be sure to fill out your form before May 10.

Pet Parade Registration

The Okmulgee Rotary Club is sponsoring the 2018 Okmulgee Pecan Festival Pet Parade! Bring your furry, scaly, fishy friend to the parade. The categories for this year's pet parade are: Exceptional Ears, The Incredible Bulk, Most Unique Pocket Pet, Exceptional Tail, Most Unusual, Best Owner/Pet Look-A-Like, Most Bashful, Best Water Wonder, Cutest Critter, Most Marvelous Manners, Most Energetic, Celebrity Look-A-Like, and Best Costume. 

Please fill out the form and return it to a Rotary Club member or the Chamber of Commerce. Registration is required to Participate. 

Remember to keep pets on a leash, in their cage/bowl/or contained habitat. Please take you pet with you when the parade concludes, and DO NOT leave your pet in a HOT car! Neither the Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce or the Okmulgee Rotary Club is responsible for lost or stolen pets of any kind, or any type of injuries to pets/spectators/owners or property. 

Best Cookie Ever Contest!

2018 Pecan Festival Cookie Contest – More than $100 in Prizes!

No pre-registration is required for this cooking contest! Just show up at the Pecan Festival on Saturday, June 16, 2018 on the Okmulgee town square between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., with your homemade baked item. Each homemade baked item must include at least one cup of pecans. On the bottom of your disposable plate, provide the complete recipe on an index card. On the flip side of that card, provide your name and telephone number. You may enter ANY type of cookie (bar, drop, decorated, etc.). Winners will be announced on the square at 11:30 a.m. Recipes will remain with the judges and many of the recipes will appear in the local paper, along with the pictures taken at the time of the winners announcement. All leftover food can be reclaimed by the contestants shortly thereafter. – Between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

First Place winner of both the adult and student divisions (18 years and under) will win $50 each.

Second and Third Place winners in both divisions will be awarded gift certificates of $20 and $10 respectively.
